In a large hot fry pan with a little oil stir fry the onion and
then add the beef mince stirring in.
Add the spices and soy sauce then stir fry
until brown
Reduce the heat and add the stock and beer,
simmer for about 25 minutes adding a little water if it dries
out too much.
Combine a the flour with some cold water
and add to mixture then simmer until the mix thickens up.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Pie base:
Sift flour and salt into a large bowl then
Mix butter with boiling water and then make
a well in the flour and pour in.
Fold until a dough is produced, Add extra
water or flour if mixture not the proper consistency.
Knead for a few minutes on a floured board
then place over a greased pie tray.
Pour in the cold pie mixture and top with
the puff pastry.
cut a few incisions in the top with a hot
knife and brush top with some milk and egg.
Bake in a 200 degree C oven for about 15-20
minutes until golden brown and serve.
Cover with lashings of tomato sauce before
serving.
